Johannes Lotz arbeitet seit vielen Jahren gleichermaßen in den Medien Malerei, Musik und Text. In der Konzertperformance-Reihe „Die Kabine“ werden alle drei Medien zusammengeführt. Ein alter Schrank fungiert dabei als Resonanzkörper und Musikinstrument. Der Schrank wird mit einer Bohrmaschine und Kreiden bearbeitet, zu hören sind Rückkopplungsschleifen der Bohrgeräusche und Gitarrensounds. Dr. Tosh begleitet die Konzertperformance mit Samples und improvisierten Sounds. Die Schrank-Kabine ist gleichzeitig auch zentrales, sich von Station zu Station wandelndes Ausstellungs-Objekt, umgeben von Gemälden und Zeichnungen.

Das Gaubenmann-Album „Die Kabine“ erscheint anlässlich der Konzertperformance als Vinyl und als Kassette auf den Labels grzegorzkirecords (Berlin) und La République des Granges (Parcoul-Chenaud).

Johannes Lotz has been working for many years in the media of painting, music and text. All three media are brought together in the concert performance series ‚Die Kabine‘. An old cupboard serves as a resonating body and musical instrument. The cabinet is worked on with a drill and chalks; feedback loops of drilling noises and guitar sounds can be heard. With samples and improvised sounds, Dr Tosh accompanies the concert performance. The cabinet is also the central object of the exhibition, changing from station to station, surrounded by paintings and drawings.
The Gaubenmann album ‚Die Kabine‘ will be released on vinyl and cassette on the occasion of the concert performance on the labels grzegorzkirecords (Berlin) and La République des Granges (Parcoul-Chenaud).
